Red Eared Turtles
Red Eared Turtles are almost totally aquatic, but leave the water to bask on warm rocks and where they can find sunlight. These reptiles are deceptively fast and excellent swimmers. Red Eared turles hibernate over the winter.

...Oh there's my friend ... "Ginger! get away from there!"
The distinctive feature of the Common snakeneck turtle (Chelodina longicollis), is its extremely long neck. In some cases, this turtle's neck can be as long as its carapace. Its carapace (shell) is flattened, broad, and brown with black-edged scutes. On the underside plates (plastron), there are distinctive black lines or seams. It is a type of side-necked turtle, meaning that it bends its head sideways into its shell rather than pulling it directly back.

Reeves Turtles
Reeve's turtle, Chinemys reevesii. This turtle is smaller in overall size than the common sliders and painted turtles, making it very suitable for indoor maintenance. In addition, it tames very rapidly, and each individual turtle has a distinct personality. For these reasons, it is a turtle that can be recommended to someone who is new to turtle-keeping.
